And when one day- you fail to exercise or you fail to eat right- don't be hard on yourself- just do it- get right back to where you belong and pick up where you left off.
Just do it.What is the best advice you've been given to keep your body in shape?
Sometimes staying in shape can be difficult, especially as we age. Here are some ways to continue to stay in shape.
Eating healthy.
While working out is a big part of staying in shape, so is eating healthy. If you are eating many foods full of saturated fats, such as cakes and pies, it is going to be harder to maintain your shape. One of the best things to keep your body in shape, and take care of your body, is to start eating healthy. By making the right food choices you will definitely see the difference in the way you look. If you are already in good shape and add healthy eating to it you will be much better off.
Working out.
If you are in good shape and want to maintain it, you must workout. Working out can become a habit after a short amount of time. Try staying with a routine for a few weeks and you will start to see that it has come a part of your schedule. One of the hardest parts is the first few weeks because your body and your routine is not used to the exercise. If you want to see more results you might want to intensify your workout.
Drinking water.
Giving up sodas and other carbonated drinks can also keep you in good shape. Many people that drink a few beverages a day do not even notice the amount of calories in it. Some people drink enough for a couple of meals a day, and then eat meals as well too. If you currently drink carbonated beverages, you will be able to see results sooner by switching to water. It will eliminate many of your wasted calories and can be used on healthy foods.
Hope that helps. What is the best advice you've been given to keep your body in shape?
Eating smart. To keep your body in good shape and healthy, you have to know when/what to eat. Dieting is never a good decision, eating well should just be part of your life style. No need to starve yourself (as that actually slows your metabolism, thus actually burning less calories). Consume smaller meals, more frequently throughout the day. Don't avoid anything specifically.. carbs, fat.. just do everything in moderation to an extent.
Exercise in any form a few times a week and you should stay in great shape.
-One extra point about eating. If you're a heavy soda drinker, you might want to reconsider. Taking out soda (diet or regular) will do wonders.
Walk 30 mins at least three times a week.
eat right, work out, burn calories to the max
