I'm 6'3'; and I need to lose the weight for a girl I'm in love with, I need some serious help to lose this. I started to lose weight but only 15lbs in 6 months, now it seems like the weight won't drop anymore.I weigh about 340lbs and need to lose around 100lbs, what is the best advice to go about doing this?
Ok first, use this calculator to get an idea what you need calorie wise to lose weight and still do it healthy. http://www.vincedelmontefitness.com/comm鈥?/a>
Then you need to exercise if you dont already. Check out this workout its free and alot of people are doing very well with it.

Then you need to make sure and eat clean, no sugar, only eat wholegrain bread, eat lots of protein and fresh veggies. Fruit is good to obut better to do that right after a workout.I weigh about 340lbs and need to lose around 100lbs, what is the best advice to go about doing this?
You need to change your lifestyle. There are groups and organizations that can help. It sounds clich茅, but WeightWatchers really does help, but you have to commit yourself to it. Do light exercises like swimming or biking, your weight could damage your joints of you started running and jumping just now. I would refer you to your primary physician, he can help you create a diet and exercise plan and make sure you lose weight the healthy way. If you drop too much too quickly, you could shock your system and put the weight back on a few weeks later. Slowly and consistently, that's the way to do it. All the best.
Hey congrats on wanting to get into shape, but make sure that you do it for you also, and not just for someone else. First things first, you need to find out about how many calories that you need to consume everyday, because its different for everyone. You can see a nutritionist, or check around online. You can also calculate this yourself, by taking your BMR, or (basal metabolic rate). You can do this by taking your weight which you said is 340 and multiplying it by 10, so your BMR is 3400. SO if you go by that, you should eat 3400 calories a day. Then walk as much as possible! Buy a pedometer, believe me it makes a difference, and try to walk , AT LEAST, 10,000 steps a day. Eat slowly at every meal, this will help your body to digest properly, and allow it to regulate when you are really full, so you don't overeat, plus you really do enjoy your food more that way. Cut out all pop, there is nothing in it that's good for you, and its full of unnecessary calories! If you can stand to drink water, do so as much as possible. Of course its helpful to eat as many fruits and veggies that you can stand, and stay away from fried foods. You would be amazed at how many of those fried foods actually taste better baked! If you eat out, be aware of what you eat, and how many calories it has in it. Also try to limit eating fast food to only around once a week. Keep a food journal if you can with the calories throughout the day that way you know you don't go over. Mostly though, just try to stay active, even if its only for 10 minutes at a time. Every little bit of activity really does help. Hope this helps you in some way. Best of luck and God bless!
For a start, you need to reduce the amount of calories you eat and up the amount you burn.
If you eat 500 calories less and burn 500 calories more then you'll lose 2lbs a week easily.
I'd definately recommend seeing a doctor/nutritionist, they'll be able to access your diet and help you create a new plan.
Eating 3 meals a day with one snack in the afternoon will help you control your eating and starting exercise such as walking, swimming and running will provide you with a way to burn off calories.
Research ways to speed up your metabolism and see if there's any you could fit into your lifestyle.
Good luck.
I have lost 40 lbs. in 3 months and I know this will work. Eat small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, eat your last meal 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. Do not starve yourself or your body will go into survival mode where anything you eat will be turned into FAT. This will help you a lot but if you want more results you can exercise 3-4 days a week, include weight training and especially cardio (walking especially running). If you set your mind to lose the weight you will lose it and when you start seeing how good you look you'll want to keep going.
Good Luck
well don't try weight loss pills because they don't work, first work out almost every day but more importantly is DIET people don't get that its more about what you eat not how much you work out, don't eat low-fat stuff no matter what the media or anyone else says fat in foods doesn't make you fat, carbs make you fat. My uncle is a Professional in this and I worked along side him for a while. he went from 265 to 185 in one month I watch him do it no lies. This is exactly how he did it, counted everything that he ate and ate less than 35 carbs a day NO MORE, there are lots of food with no carbs, ie pepperoni and cheese, also NO EATING PAST 5 PM eating at night you don't burn off so eat dinner at like exactly 5 and don't eat at all after that no matter how hungry you are. he also worked out 5-6 days a week for an hour at a time and did cardio for half of it which helps a lot
dont lose weight for someone else. this is something that you have to want to do for yourself in order to succeed. have you tried getting advice from a medical professional? they can give you a diet and nutrition plan specifically for your needs. also, dont be afraid to try weight watchers i lost 40 pounds on it and kept it off for the past 3 years. they teach you all about portion control which is a big key to losing weight! good luck with this, i know its a hard thing to do.
With so much to loose, you should consult a nutritionist, because obviously , you are doing something wrong. I may not know what or how much, you should be eating.
Never loose weight for someone else !
Do it for YOU !
It is your life, do you want to be able to enjoy it
or do you want to die early and have numerous health problems ?
Walk every day for at least 30 minutes and stop all junk food.
Limit your calories and try to eat whole (unprocessed) foods- stuff you would get out of the ground. Extra exercise would help as well. You probably don't want to lose the pounds very quickly because too fast isn't healthy. Check out www.sparkpeople.com My roommate used this site to lose weight last summer. Stick to the program they give you and good luck!
A healthier diet is the foundation of weight loss. Exercise will also help, but if your not getting the nutrition you need you could hurt yourself. It is good that you are wanting to lose weigth(even if it is because of a girl) but do it the healthy way.
If your weight loss has plateau'd you need to up your exercise. Also, try drinking more water, especially before meals.
When you eat, think about the food as fuel rather than just eating for the sake of it. A petrol car doesn't work on deisel...the same rule applies to our bodies. Eat the right type and amount of food, and you will see the results.
okayyy
cardio. it burns the fat. crunches will just give you muscles that will grow under your fat. and you need to loose weight for a girl? i mean like i get a girl doesnt want a fat guy but if shell only like u if ur thin then its not worth loosing the weight for her because she wont like you for you . do it for yourself.
Eat half of the calories less than what you eat. So if you ate 3000 calories a day, reduce to eating 1500 calories a day. Stay away from eating foods with high carbs and exercise.
I'm guessing you can lose up 1-3 pounds a week with this plan
ok heres the question what are you doing for exersise?
best thing to do work out every day at least an hour, dont eat 2 helpings of ANYTHING, and dont skip meals
or you could try to get onto the ';Biggest Losser'; show (weight loss show)
you can burn 100 pounds of body fat in one year if you burn 2 pounds a week and that's a healthy amount to lose remember that one pound of fat is 3500 calories so ur going have to make sure u eat that much less a week
talk to ur doctor about the best diet to go on.. and primere fitness has personal trainers who can help u lose ur goal weight and more... its cheap and all u do is show up and be devoted to a healthy life.. i weighted 210 and now im at 156 in less than 5months
the band. i've seen it on commercials. its put in by surgery. then its all diet and exercise from there. try dieting and exercising first though. the band will give you an extra boost by limiting your food intake though.
Do some serious yoga

\but if the girl actually loves you she shoulldnt care about how much you weigh
diet and run around a track 2 times every day and if you want do more laps (bring water)
u should try the good ol' fashioned way
exercise and diet
it always works
There are tons of diets out there. I think any diet that you can eat it all, would be PORTION CONTROL ! I would recommend staying away from junk foods totally, and if you need a fix of chips or something, just take a small amount. They say if your craving sweets, like chocolate, to eat Dark Chocolate, it has less sugar. Drink lots of water, or water with lemon or Crystal Lite, that will taste like sugar but will fix any sugar cravings without sugar. I think the hardest thing would be is getting over the hump. And of course you have many obsticals after the hump.
My husband is the same weight as you, I dont see him attractive at all anymore. I have sat down and told him how I feel, but he cant seem to be in controll over his weight. He drinks alot of beer after work, and then he will sneak snacks at night. I try not to buy them, but I entertain alot and always have young children over, and love to bribe them with a treat. I have also told him to loose the weight for his health. Also for the children, he is unable to play with children or even get up from his chair, he is lazy, and its a struggle for him to do anything. !!!!!!! He is also a financial advisor who meets with alot of people who have alot of money, and I think for him being over weight makes him look like he doesnt care about himself, so if you don't care about yourself, why should you care about others ???
My friend just lost 21 lbs in 1 month by just eating right ! She gets the B-12 shot in the rear for extra boost of energy once a week. She counts her calories, fat, carbs and only eats what the doctor said to eat. She can eat anything she wants, but portion control, so many carbs, soo many fat grams, soo many calories,
This will be a life long habit. Maybe you can get some doctor help. It cost her like $300 but they took some body fat test, some muscles tests, a sychelogical test, and a light depresant pill that has curves your appitite. This doctor thats she's seeing hopes to never see's his patients again. For a couple of hours of evaluation and motivation, and some pills to get you through the hump, and some B-12 shot for a boost of energy was well worth it for her.
I wish you the best of luck !
