Anyone have advice or comments about living near Ft Meade? We will be moving there soon with the military.?

I'm looking for opinions and advice about housing options(best for the money) , the area's colleges, shopping, eating out... The university of MD is not far, you also have anne arundel community college near by. The shopping is great there is an outlet mall, walmart, cosco, and many other shops right down the street. Ft. Meade is close to Columbia, MD more shopping and great places to eat. Sorry I can't be any help on the housing issue. Good LuckAnyone have advice or comments about living near Ft Meade? Houses outside of Ft. Meade, are VERY EXPENSIVE. The housing on base is not bad at all, They just built alot of new homes. If you go to www.meadepicerne.com you can check out some of the housing on the base.
