Time is ticking! I have 30 days to lose 20lbs and run faster or I am out of the military. Any advice?

I am in the military and I have to run a 1.5 mile in 16 mins, how can I train myself to do this fast?Time is ticking! I have 30 days to lose 20lbs and run faster or I am out of the military. Any advice?

run that length everyday. do u have a tredmill? slowly increase the speed everyday and just run the same length. 1.5 miles in 16mins isnt that difficult to train for
Lose 20lbs? Geez.....CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO. Run for a least 30 mins everyday. Steady pace. You will lose weight and increase speed as your leg muscles get used to it. Good luck.
