My 3 month old just got her first 2 teeth, any advice or concearns that i should be aware of .?

def. bitting things. my son got his first two teeth at 3 months old too... and he chews on everything. esp. be careful if you allow your baby to have a pacifier because they like to chew on that too, and they can get it stuck on their teeth... my son did it once, screamed bloody murder... and never did it again... he still chews on it from time to time but never like he used to.

As your child's teeth start to appear (generally around 6 months), look for a baby toothbrush with a small bristle head and larger grip suitable for your hand. (If your child is healthy and still hasn't sprouted his first tooth by the end of his first year, don't worry 鈥?some children don't start getting them until 15 to 18 months.)

As long as you're cleaning your child's teeth regularly, you don't need to use any toothpaste yet. Just brush the teeth gently on both the outside and inside surfaces twice a day. Brush his tongue as well (if he'll let you) to dislodge the bacteria that can cause bad breath. One quick swipe is enough. Replace the toothbrush as soon as the bristles start to look worn or splayed out.

Chewing and biting - Your baby may chew and bite down on anything she can get her mouth around. The counter pressure from biting on something helps relieve the pressure from the erupting tooth. Unfortunately, your baby may mistake your nipple for a teething ring during feedings. Try not to overreact if this happens - calmly but firmly tell your baby no, remove your nipple from her mouth, and wait a few minutes before trying to nurse again. When you take the source of food away, your baby will quickly learn not to bite the nipple that feeds her.

Cheek rubbing and ear pulling - Pain in the gums may extend to the ears and cheeks, especially when the back molars begin coming in, so you may see your baby rubbing her cheeks or pulling at her ears. However, if your baby is showing other signs of an ear infection, call your pediatrician. My 3 month old just got her first 2 teeth, any advice or concearns that i should be aware of .?
Check the nipples and the pacifiers constantly for signs of teeth marks.

Hopefully, since her teeth are coming in early, she'll have both top and bottom teeth when she starts pulling herself up/walking. My son only had his two bottom teeth by 7 months and he pulled himself up on a toy and then fell over backwards. He smashed his bottom teeth into his top gums and there was blood everywhere! He didn't cry that long but blood from the mouth is always scary!

Oh ya, and the biting. My guy is now 9 months old, and has 4 teeth along the top along with his two bottom teeth that are fully in. Today he chomped down on Daddy's arm and left teeth marks!!My 3 month old just got her first 2 teeth, any advice or concearns that i should be aware of .?
She is going to try to bite everything and put anything and everything in her mouth, lol. Just be careful like always, because she is going to constantly try to put stuff in her mouth. Also she might get a fever or or be uneasy as she is cutting new teeth, you can give her a little Tylenol if she has fever and there are these great little teething pellets you can purchase at any drugstore. Best of luck!
biting of course. The feeling of bitingis new and they might bite someone not realizingit hurts. She might also tryeating things shes not used to so watch the choking.
she might be in pain. especially when more teeth grow in.
