A bizarro-world fantasy baseball trade...Any advice would be appreciated?

I am in 1st in my roto Yahoo 5x5 league, about 18 points ahead of the next guy. Doing fine in every category. I get a trade offer today from the last place guy.

My team now:

C: Posada

1B: Howard

2B: Phillips

3B: Zimmerman

SS: H. Ramirez

OF: Sizemore, Crawford, Markakis

UT: Konerko

Bench: Pence

SP: Cain, Weaver, Sabathia, Lincecum, Hughes, Martinez, Perez

RP: Saito, Gregg, Ray, Neshek, Capps

I give: Posada, Phillips, Zimmerman, Pence, Markakis, Hughes, Martinez

I get: Fielder, Rollins, Guerrero, Bonds, Bay, Carpenter, Lo Duca, Orlando Hudson

So I downgrade from Phillips to Hudson at 2B, Posada to whoever at C, and Zimmerman to pick up Gordon at 3B for a huge bunch of studs, most of whom will ride the bench. Am I insane? Is there any reason to mess with a good thing? Or was I just given a gift and should accept it with open arms? Thanks for the help.A bizarro-world fantasy baseball trade...Any advice would be appreciated?
this is an awesome trade on your part you got a bunch of players who will be good this year and years to come examples: fielder guerro and hudson i think are gunna get better next year

but the downside is carpenter may b out til the end of the season .

another down side is bonds bay and loduca just gunna get worst

rollins is good if he stays out of injury trouble

but dont think the downsides are bad the good thing is overpowering the bad parts.

but you wil have to suffer without a catcher cuz posadas good and pence and hughes are awsome rookies even though hueghes is injueredA bizarro-world fantasy baseball trade...Any advice would be appreciated?
That is a great trade for you. Your highest pick was probably Phillips at 90. You get Guerreero:1st round pick, Jimmy Rollins, 2-3 round pick, Fielder85 pick, but already has 30(just hit one tonight),Bonds,(value will go way up after breaks record) Jason Bay, a 3rd round pick, Carpender, a 2-3 round pick, and Hudson.
that was a great trade 4 you considered your self lucky
why the hell are you not starting hunter pence over nick markakis... or konerko at utill...?
You would be ABSOLUTELY INSANE if you did not jump all over this trade!!! This is a heavily weighted trade to you and an absolute NO-BRAINER!!! Getting Rollins, Guerrero, and Fielder....... is just way too much to turn down...... You could give away a whole lot more........ for what you are getting.

You definitely should make this trade. You will lose some at C, 2B, %26amp; 3B like you say, but it's worth it. Hudson is certainly adequate, or you can pick up decent alternatively at those positions. Your outfield, SS, %26amp; 1B positions just got absolutely AWESOME. What I would do if I was you is, I would look to possibly trade to make those other positions solid again. Using Howard or Fielder and/or Ramirez or Rollins as trade bait, try to upgrade your C, and/or 2B, and/or, 3B postitions. Having to sit at least one of those four studs every week...... would be a waste..... Trade at least one of them away.

The only negative I see in this trade........ is that it is SO heavily weighted to your side........ that I seriously doubt that it will get past the other managers. I would be very surprised if the other managers in the league do not vote against this WAY lopsided trade........ and nullify it. If you are able to pull it off...... I think you will likely run away with the league. ;)

Good Luck with it,

The Dark Lord
In an all-allstar team league like this you want to squeeze the most out of every position. Your bench spots don't matter because you don't use them; you're not playing matchups, you're starting 10 studs every day.

So, downgrading at 2.5 positions isn't worth it. Sure, you get Guerrero %26amp; Bonds, but where do you put them? Where are you going to make up the dropoff you suffer at C (huge), 2B (pretty big), and 3B (small if any, Gordon %26amp; Zimmerman are about equal)? If you bench Sizemore or Crawford you fall back in SB. You can sit Markakis and Konerko, but you don't get it back.

See if the guy will take out the two catchers and still do the deal. Keep in mind too that you'll have to drop another guy (probably Neshek) to make this deal, and then drop someone else to pick up Gordon. The deal looks pretty good but when you look closer it totally screws up your roster.

What you should be trying to do is deal your excess strengths to improve your weaker positions. Give everything you've got to get someone better than Zimmerman, Markakis, or Konerko.

And, in the final analysis, you're playing in a league where every manager drafts an all-star team and you've already won the league. Your best bet is to quit this league and go find a league that's actually worth playing in.
great trade for u. i just have 1 question. how is some1 with fielder, rollins, vladdy, bonds, and hudson in last? what kind of league are u in?
